​Registration & Hospitality Update
We’ve had a fun and busy fall semester in our Soccerfest class. We worked with AYSA, the UMass Women’s Soccer team, and Rugged Maniac building connections with one another and our community. The Registration & Hospitality department hasn’t been as active as some other departments this past semester, but that is soon to change in the upcoming couple of months! Two new members will be joining the Registration team and we will begin working on our registration and VIP tent responsibilities. Over this upcoming winter break, we will be opening up 2018’s registration so anyone ready to go can sign up!

Finance Update:
 This semester has been all about preparation for the finance department. We started by researching all previous year’s SoccerFest finance reports and budgets to get an idea of how to allocate money to each department. We have begun creating an initial budget factoring in our current and projected inflows and outflows. In addition, we have made a few purchases including shelving for our storage unit and marketing collateral to distribute at local facilities. It has been a great learning experience so far, teaching us about beginning to balance a budget and the procedures involved with making purchases. Moving forward, as we obtain new sponsors and team registrations begin, we will be able to make significant purchases that will make this year’s SoccerFest the most fun and exciting event yet.
